THE ORIGINS OF THE ESTATE
Since Roman times, vines have lent their colours, which change from season to season, to the Daurion landscape. At the heart of a fine natural setting, the Estate has reigned supreme since the 16th century. Sometimes called “Grange” or “Campagne”, sometimes “Bergerie”, Domaine de Daurion was, from early on, a hive of life and activity. Its forge, its stables, its farming made it self-sufficient.
Over the years, different owners followed one another. Then, in the 1950’s, the Collet family, represented by Henri (the current owner’s grandfather), settled on the Estate and has been there ever since. The magic of the place and the avant-garde vision of one man were to bring about plantings of Chardonnay, unknown in this region dominated by red wines. Not only did a new white grape variety arrive, but a sparkling wine was born, made by the traditional method, surprising, to say the least, on this terroir of still wines.

THE THIRD GENERATION
As the years went by, the honours awarded the Estate confirmed the quality of the wines. Henri took over from Henri, his father, and then came the turn of Isabelle. With the third generation, a wind of change has started blowing. Youth, love of the earth, vitality and ambition have heralded the making of great wines and sparkling wines. Accompanied by her team, Isabelle cultivates the art of being different and is making Daurion a reference for great wines and fine bubbles from the south.
