Domaine Daurion: A New Award-Winning Label

Domaine Daurion: A New Award-Winning Label

This year marks an important milestone for Domaine Daurion. Several of its wines have been recognized in leading national and international competitions, confirming the direction the estate has taken: wines that are more precise, fresher, and more approachable, driven by a strong sense of terroir and a contemporary take on Languedoc.

At the heart of this evolution lies a clear ambition: to showcase a Daurion style that is more modern, more elegant, and better suited to the current expectations of both wine enthusiasts and professionals in the restaurant and export industries.

A tribute to white, rosé, and red wines

These latest awards recognize the dedicated work that has gone into the entire product line.

The 2025 Pays d’Oc Blanc IGP received two gold medals at the 2026 Concours Mondial Féminalise and the 2026 Challenge International du Vin. This is a wonderful recognition for a fresh, expressive, and approachable white wine, designed for social gatherings, light cuisine, and modern markets.

The 2025 Pays d’Oc Rosé IGP also received an honorable mention at the 2026 Concours Mondial de Bruxelles. This distinction confirms the Daurion rosé’s standing: a light, fresh, balanced wine with a well-controlled fruitiness and a true ability to enhance moments of togetherness.

As for reds, the 2024 Pays d’Oc Rouge IGP won a gold medal at the 2024 International Wine Challenge, recognized for its rich, smooth, and approachable profile—true to the concept of a red wine meant for enjoyment, suitable for both restaurants and specialty retailers.

The AOP vintages confirm the estate's new standard

The AOP Languedoc vintages in particular demonstrate the estate's increasing attention to detail.

The 2023 Languedoc Blanc AOP was awarded a gold medal at the 2026 Concours Mondial Féminalise and two stars in the 2026 Guide Hachette. These accolades highlight the balance between freshness, body, aromatic finesse, and gastronomic potential.

The brand-new 2023 AOP Languedoc Blanc “Les Orgues” vintage confirms this momentum with several major accolades: a gold medal at the 2026 Concours Mondial Féminalise, a silver medal at the 2026 IWC (International Wine Challenge), a gold medal at the 2026 Concours Mondial de Bruxelles, and a bronze medal at the 2026 Decanter.

Finally, the 2023 Languedoc Pézenas Rouge AOP, an iconic wine from the volcanic terroir of Pézenas, won a bronze medal at the 2026 IWC (International Wine Challenge) as well as a bronze medal at the 2026 Decanter. These results confirm the potential of the estate’s red wines to express themselves in a more structured, deeper, and more distinctive way.

A fresher, more precise, more explosive style

These medals are not merely a recognition of quality. They reflect a fundamental shift.

Under the leadership of Laurent Doyle, the estate’s director of operations and winemaker, Domaine Daurion is gradually developing a clearer signature: wines that are less showy and more balanced, characterized by freshness, aromatic precision, and minerality.

The work carried out in the vineyard and in the cellar is aimed at better expressing the terroirs of Caux and Pézenas, with particular attention paid to the wines’ natural balance, the precision of the extraction process, the purity of the fruit, and the consistency among each cuvée.

Daurion's identity is built around a distinctive style:

Fresh. Precise. Volcanic. Modern.

A vision focused on the future

These accolades further solidify the estate’s trajectory, both in France and internationally. They confirm Domaine Daurion’s ability to offer organic wines from the South of France with a contemporary twist: elegant, accessible, gastronomic, and clearly positioned.

For Laurent Doyle, these awards are, above all, an encouragement to continue the work he has begun:

“These medals recognize our vision, but above all, our commitment to excellence. We want to offer authentic, precise wines that truly reflect their terroir. The Languedoc region possesses immense richness. Our role is to express that richness with accuracy, freshness, and modernity.”

With these new accolades, Domaine Daurion continues to grow with confidence, affirming its unique identity—a blend of Mediterranean heritage, volcanic terroirs, and an international vision.
